Key Responsibilities

  • Provide counseling to students on course selection and academic planning.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress to ensure they meet graduation requirements.
  • Identify students' academic challenges and implement appropriate support measures.
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to support student academic achievement.
  • Guide students to explore career paths and set future goals.
  • Provide information about colleges, trade schools, and other post-secondary opportunities.
  • Assist students with college applications, scholarships, and financial aid processes.
  • Offer one-on-one or group counseling to address personal or social issues.
  • Develop and implement programs to enhance students' interpersonal skills and emotional well-being.
  • Be a liaison between the school, parents, and the community.
  • Work with school staff to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Advocate for students’ needs and rights.
